Time to put up the graveyard

I just love decorating for Halloween. We had a lot of fun putting up the graveyard the other day. Mike doesn't mow the grass in Oct so it looks a little unkempt and creepy. we also don't rack the leaves until Nov for the same reason. David made some more tombstones last year so the graveyard has more "bodies" this year. After we got the grim ripper up we headed inside for apples dipped in Carmel sauce as we watched It's a great pumpkin Charlie Brown. It was a ton of fun!

Halloween at our house

I know I am a little late on posting photos of Halloween, but better late then never---Right? We had a great Halloween.

There were 43 people at our Halloween party this year, and what fun we had. Even the dead arose from grave to attend.

There was a table for the kids to make their own cookie ghosts out of nutter butter and white chocolate.

Mike had a fun Idea to have a grave yard cake with a prize hid somewhere in it. Then I made tombstone cookies and when the guest arrived they wrote their names on the cookies and piked their plot. The person who got the prize in their cake won a gift. It was really fun and the cake turned out really cute.

After everyone had their fill of spooky food the games began.Welcome to Jepardy! How good are you at Halloween trivia? Mike put together a fun trivia game. One for the kids and one for the adults. It was so much fun. Who better to run a game show then the Joker? Mike looked great! I was bat girl, his assistant.

My little lady bug, Eliza ran the kids Jepardy.

David was a puppet and Samuel a solder. Every one walked away with a prize even if it was just a consolation one. The only thing that would have made it better was if Sarah, Layton and Isaac could have been there. Hope everyone had a fun Halloween

spooktacular Halloween

As all of you who know me, know I Love Halloween. Not just a little bit but a LOT. I look forward to it all year long. I am usually very girly girl. I love party dresses, flowers , sewing, shoes, fairies and tea party's. But once a year I become a different person. I rat my hair, hang bats and skeletons up in my home and transform my dress form into the headless lady. I cook up frightening food while the boys transform our yard into a grave yard complete with the grim ripper guarding the way. So if you happen to see me around and I Don't seem like myself, Just remember even the girly girl can transform at Halloween into the gruesome. Happy haunting.

Halloween party

We had a great Halloween. We went to Nauvoo for the pumpkin walk. Dorris and Dianne had a booth and sold lots of yummy food . We had a bowl of soup with a pumpkin shaped bread. The school had it's parade on wed. I had to work but Mike went and took lots of photos for me. Sherlie Evans put on Eliza's make-up and helped her with her costume. After school that day they had merchants night. I got home from work just in time to take Eliza. It was fun seeing all the little kids all dressed up. We had our Halloween dinner and party on the 31st. I had to work so the dinner was simple but fun. The kids loved the dry ice that Mike always does for them. They all gathered around the table waiting with excitement for Mike to put it in the witches brew (root beer) after dinner Shaleise took the kids trick or treating. When they got home Mike pulled down the big movie screen and we all watched tower of terror. Eliza and Samuel each had Friends that spent the night. In the morning we all ate ghost, skeleton, bat and bone shapes pancakes. I really love Halloween
